New Hours for Spring Semester

Hello, all!

Hope this finds you well!

My office hours through May will be

Monday Closed
Tuesday 9am - 1pm
Wednesday 2pm - 3pm
Thursday 9am - 1pm
Friday 11am - 6pm.

I am taking 12 credits this semester, and I'm a little worried about that. But my classes sound great so far. We already got to use microscopes in my Genetics class, and the first lab in Organic Chemistry is to make moonshine! What a great start!

I am most excited about my Technical writing class, however, because this class will teach/force me to create the types of documents that I want to share here, but don't have the know-how yet. The syllabus says we will create instructional videos, podcasts and other types of multimedia presentations. I will be practicing on you all, so your feedback will be most welcome and helpful!

On the massage front, I'm delighted by the many ways our fascial system shows up in my science classes! Microtubules play a stunning role in cell division, and consequently on the overall health of our tissues. Since cells are dividing all the time, every massage catches some cells in the process. I'll be keeping an eye on the role of extracellular forces (ie. massage) in any division processes.

I look forward to applying some extracellular force for you!
